![]() ![]() I said earlier, you have a great deal of potential, so keep at it. Overall I'd say you're app is good, but needs considerable work to make it to greatness. Was it really too much work to keep item click event and view inside the app? There is so much open source shit out there to handle news/tweets/api-feeds that I'm jus sitting here wondering. The feed doesn't always load, and there are serious issues when items in the feed ("stocktwits" mostly) are referencing (tagging) multiple symbols you are jumping between. Lastly I'll touch on is the half-assed implementation and inconsistent behavior of the "news"/"stocktwits"/etc. Due to the lack of clarity around time/timezone, the graph (and in extension the portfolio behavior) are unclear, and in turn, are basically nice looking paperweights. What the fuck are you showing me for timestamps? It's not showing my current time-zone, it's not showing eastern time, it's not shown on the labels, and there is no way to configure this.Īlso, the value data updates (based on price comparisons because the timestamps don't appear to mean much) appear to be at least two or three hours out of date (even worse for cryptocurrencies), which makes the app basically useless for anyone making trades more than once a week. This is pretty bad UX, but it gets worse. Sometimes there is a loading animation between different stocks, but it's fairly inconsistent, especially when first loading a particular symbol. There is usually nothing to indicate that the app is loading data and/or that the currently displayed graph is not representative of the user's selected stock or timeframe. Cache that shit.īut that's not the worst of it. Firstly, it takes a hell of a long time to load data this happens between different stocks AND different time-frames for the same stock. I'm going to move into less "markety" feedback and into specific pain points with the application itself. Maybe not free, but definitely not $12 (or the $29 the app usually costs). Your app is a great casual stock-market tool it's nice, but not nice enough for me to recommend to anyone that is actually actively investing.Ī good solution for the pricing issue was recommended by /u/MmmmJoel in another response. I get that people looking for a serious/good trading app are likely going to have "cash to burn," but your app has a ways to go to get into that league. The only reason I bought the app was because I was bored, curious, and had cash to burn (I set aside a few hundred dollars a month to buy and play with new software/apps/services to stay familiar with what others in my industry are doing). There are other apps and tools out there that are much better thought out for less (or free). Okay, I'm done heaping praise I mean the following entirely for the sake of constructive criticism, but I will not be holding back.įor what your app offers, it's significantly overpriced. The support of cryptocurrencies is what makes it stand out to me. I like where you're going with it and hope that you continue to improve upon it.
